MULTIFUNCTIONAL HYBRID NANOCOMPOSITES FOR THE SEPARATION OF TOXIC AND MICROBIAL CONTAMINANTS FROM WATER

This is a multinational project between India and United Kingdom funded jointly by British Council, UK and Department of Science & Technology, India under the UK-India Education and Research Initiatives (UKIERI). In this project, we have two academic organisations and two indsustrial organisations. Dr Tapas Sen, University of Central Lancashire, Preston, UK is leading the project from UK and Prof. Asim Bhaumik, Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Kolkata, India is leading the project from India. Research from the two academic research organisations is under-pinned by two industrial partners such as Tata Chemicals Ltd. India and FeedWater Ltd., UK. Industrial partners are responsible for exploitation of research outcome and a long term sustainability.
